Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement - Rear No. 1 (Short Wheelbase)

SEAT CUSHION COVER AND PAD REPLACEMENT - REAR NO. 1 (SHORT WHEELBASE)

TOOLS REQUIRED

J 36796Clip Removal Tool

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the seat cushion from the vehicle.
2. Remove the seat cushion bracket.

3. Remove the seat latch bezels.

4. Use the J 36796 to remove the push pins (1) on the underside of the seat bottom, in order to start the seat cushion removal procedure.

5. Fold the carpet back in order to release the J-strips that retain the cover to the seat pan.
6. Starting at either forward corner, compress the foam and partially remove the seat cover assembly from the seat pan.
7. Remove the cover from the cushion by separating the retaining strips.

IMPORTANT:  When separating the seat cover retaining strips, do not pull the adhesive-backed strip from the seat pad.

8. Separate and remove the cushion and cover assembly from the seat pan.
9. Release the reinforcement bar from the hog-rings.

10. Remove the cover from the cushion.
