1.
Place strut assembly in strut compressor J-34013, Fig. 8.
2.
Turn compressor forcing screw until spring compresses slightly.
3.
Keep dampener shaft from turning with a T-50 Torx bit and remove nut from top of dampener shaft.
4.
Using tool J-34013-38 or equivalent, guide dampener shaft out of assembly.
5.
Loosen compressor screw while guiding dampener shaft out of assembly, continually loosening compressor screw till strut dampener and spring
