Wheel Speed Sensor: Description and Operation
Front Wheel Speed Sensors & Rings

    Front speed sensors are bolted to the strut assemblies above the axle shafts. The speed sensor rings are located on the outer constant velocity joints,
directly beneath the wheel speed sensors. As a ring moves past a speed sensor, an oscillating voltage is sent to the controller. The frequency of this signal
increases and decreases with wheel speed. No repair or gap adjustment to the wheel speed sensor is permitted.
