Air Plenum And Fuel Rail Removal

Multi-Port Fuel Injector

CAUTION:  Use caution when removing fuel injectors to prevent damage to the spray nozzles or electrical connector pins.  The fuel injector is serviced
as a complete assembly only.  Since it is an electrical component, it should not be immersed in any type of liquid cleaner.  Support the fuel rail to avoid
damaging other components while removing the injector.

REMOVAL:

1.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.

Relieve the fuel system pressure, see MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELIEF.
