Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
Front Coil Spring
1.
Raise and support vehicle at frame.
2.
Remove shock absorber lower mount, then push shock up through control arm and into spring.
3.
Remove stabilizer bar from lower control arm.

Position a tool No. J-23028 at lower control arm pivot bolts, Fig. 4.
5.
Position a suitable jack under tool installed in step 4 and chain together, then raise jack slightly to remove tension from lower control arm pivot
bolts.
6.
Using a suitable chain, secure lower control arm and coil spring together.
7.
Remove rear lower control arm pivot bolt, then front bolt.
8.
Slowly lower jack with lower control arm and spring attached.
9.
When spring compression is relieved, remove spring.
