ABS Light: Description and Operation
The anti-lock warning indicator illuminates after the engine is running to indicate the following conditions. Constant illumination indicates the
anti-lock brake controller has detected a fault and disabled part or all of the anti-lock brake system. The base power brake system will not be disabled. A
flashing light indicates the anti-lock brake controller has detected a fault, but still retaining ABS operation. Prolonged operation with a flashing indicator
may further damage the ABS system. The anti-lock warning indicator can be tested for proper operation with ignition switch in the Start position. The
indicator should illuminate in this position. The indicator should also illuminate for approximately three seconds after engine is started.
