Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Testing and Inspection
Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) Reset Procedure

To reset the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve pintle position, proceed with the following:

1.

Cycle the ignition key "ON" then "OFF" to reset the IAC.

2.

START the engine and allow engine to reach operating temperature.

3.

The ECM will reset the IAC whenever the ignition switch is turned "ON," and then "OFF."
