This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Reason For Recall
General Motors has determined that the owner's manuals in certain 1990 Regal model vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard
No. 208, "Occupant Crash Protection". Owner's manuals for these vehicles did not fully explain how the front shoulder belt comfort feature works. What
We Will Do
In order to comply with the above mentioned standard (FMVSS 208), and to reduce your inconvenience, Buick Motor Division has sent the enclosed
sticker for you to insert in your owner's manual.
What You Should Do
Please insert the enclosed sticker next to the bottom picture on page 26 (see illustration on back side of this letter). After you install the sticker, or if you
have sold or traded your vehicle, please let us know by completing the postage-paid owner reply card enclosed and returning it to us. This will assist us
in assuring that all affected vehicles have been corrected and also will eliminate follow up notifications.
If you are not satisfied with the action we have taken to remedy this noncompliance, you may submit a complaint to the Administrator, National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration, 400 Seventh Street, S.W., Washington D.C. 20590, or call the toll free Auto Safety Hotline 1-800-424-9393 (Washington
