Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

DTC List

Disconnecting the battery or the Body Control Module (BCM) connectors will not clear a DTC. A DTC can only be cleared in one of the following two
ways:

1. Using a scan tool:

A. Connect a scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC).
B. The first menu on the scan tool will be the MAIN MENU.
C. Input vehicle information as requested by the scan tool.
D. Select the BODY CONTROL MODULE in the APPLICATIONS MENU. This will take the scan tool to the BODY CONTROL MODULE

MAIN MENU.

E. Select the DTC feature. This will take the scan tool to the DTC MAIN MENU.
