Telltale Control - The Body Control Module (BCM) provides a telltale control capability, allowing it to control the state of the Park Brake and
Door/Trunk Ajar telltales based on the status of the park brake, door and trunk input switches.

Fog Lamp Enable Control - The BCM provides a fog lamp control capability, allowing it to control the enabled or disabled state of the vehicle fog
lamps based on the status of the ignition switch.

Day/Night Mode Sensing - The BCM provides an ambient light mode sensing capability, allowing it to determine the ambient light operating
mode from the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) control module and communicate this information to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) and
Powertrain Control Module (PCM) via the Class 2 serial data link.

Twilight Sentinel - The BCM provides an exterior illumination feature, allowing it to energize the vehicle headlamps for a period of time after the
vehicle ignition switch is turned off at night.

Overvoltage Protection - The BCM provides a headlamp overvoltage protection feature, preventing the BCM from energizing the vehicle
headlamps for any reason when vehicle system voltages are high enough to significantly affect filament life.

Retained Accessory Power - The BCM provides a Retained Accessory Power capability, allowing the driver to operate selected electrical loads
after the ignition has been turned off.

Transmission Shift Select Function - The BCM provides a Transmission Shift Select function, allowing it to communicate the input status of a
driver controlled transmission shift select switch to the PCM via the class 2 serial data link.

Vehicle Anti-Theft - The BCM provides a PASS-Key (R) II vehicle anti-theft function.

Vehicle Configuration Storage - The BCM provides for vehicle configuration storage, allowing the vehicle assembly plant to program the BCM
with certain information concerning the option content or point of sale of a vehicle.

Serial Data Communications - The BCM is capable of Class 2 serial data communications and utilizes this capability to perform many of its
functions.

Diagnostic Operation and ALDL Modes - The BCM provides service diagnostics, automatically setting Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and
allowing a service technician to read and/or reset these DTCs. The BCM provides several ALDL diagnostic modes to obtain information
concerning the operation of the BCM, to control the operation of the BCM, or to determine if certain inputs and outputs are functioning properly.
