SUBJECT:
DRIVEABILITY CORRECTION FOR HEAVY CHUGGLE AND SURGE - 35 TO 55 MPH
MODELS AFFECTED:
1982 & 1983 4.1L EQUIPPED REGALS.
A recalibrated PROM, EGR valve, EGR relay, and a wiring harness to install the relay are now available in limited quantities to correct this condition.
The following kit part #25522748 should be ordered from WDDGM and installed on the vehicle per the instructions contained in this bulletin.
NOTICE:
All parts contained in this kit must be installed for correction.. If not, performance and detonation conditions will occur.
Procedure
1)
Disconnect positive battery cable.
2)
Remove ECM and housing from body kick panel.
3)
Connect jumper harness provided to relay.
