NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

6. Install the screws to the front door trim panel.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

7. Connect the power window switch.

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Open the door.
2. Remove the power window switch assembly. Refer to Power Window Switch Replacement.See: Sensors and Switches/Sensors and Switches -

Windows and Glass/Power Window Switch

3. Remove the screws from the front door trim panel

4. Remove the front door trim panel using the J 38778  .
5. Remove the power mirror switch. Refer to See: Mirrors/Power Mirror Switch
6. Reposition the electrical harness connectors.
7. Remove the front door trim panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Important:  Before installing the front door trim panel to the front door inner panel, the old trim panel retainers MUST be discarded and
replaced with NEW trim panel retainers.

1. Install the new trim panel retainers to the front door trim panel.
2. Route the electrical connectors to the front door trim panel.
