Rendezvous AWD V6-3.6L VIN 7 (2004)
1. Install the pressure hose into the vehicle.
2. Connect the pressure hose fitting to the power steering pump. HAND TIGHTEN ONLY.
3. Connect the pressure hose to the hose retainer.
4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Connect the pressure hose from the steering gear.
Tighten the pressure hose fitting to the steering gear to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
5. Remove the drain pan under the power steering pump and the power steering gear.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Install the power steering pressure pipe/hose to the power steering reservoir mounting stud.
8. Install the power steering pressure pipe/hose nut to the power steering reservoir mounting stud.
Tighten the pressure pipe/hose nut to 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
9. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
10. Connect the pressure hose to the power steering pump.
Tighten the pressure hose fitting to the pump to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
11. Install the right side engine splash shield.
12. Install the front right tire and wheel.
13. Lower the vehicle.
14. Fill the power steering reservoir with power steering fluid.
15. Bleed the power steering system.
16. Inspect the system for leaks.
