Rendezvous FWD V6-3.5L VIN L (2006)
Installation Procedure
1. Install the oil filter bypass valve, if necessary. Ensure that the valve is seated fully below the bypass valve hole lead in chamfer.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the oil filter bypass valve plug, if necessary. Apply sealer GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953541) or the equivalent to the threads.
Tighten the plug to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the oil filter fitting, if necessary.
Tighten the fitting to 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the oil filter.
5. Check and fill the crankcase as necessary.
