Charging System - Battery Light Comes On When Accelerating or Driving Up Hills (Reprogram PCM)
Models:
2006 Buick Rendezvous
with 3.5L Engine (VIN L - RPO LX9)
Condition
Some customers may comment that the battery light comes on when accelerating or driving up hills.
Cause
The cause of this condition may be electromagnetic interference (EMI) in the generator due to the proximity of the generator and the ignition coils.
Correction
A new service calibration has been developed to correct this condition. Reprogram the PCM using SPS with the latest software available in TIS2WEB.
