When servicing any 1982 or 1983 THM 325-4L transmission for an oil pan leak, inspect for interference with the accumulator housing (Figure #2). If an
interference exists with the accumulator housing, remove it and grind, or file a portion of the casting boss (Figure #2 Inset). When removing this
material, use caution to avoid damaging the cup plug. Remove only a minimum amount of material to eliminate the interference with the transmission oil
pan.
