CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
If the problem is that some, or only one particular switch pad does not work, chances are the problem is in the CRT.
TEST DESCRIPTION: Numbers below refer to circled numbers on diagnostic chart.

Connect tester to CRT only, letting it run its automatic check, to allow individual switch checks to be performed. If, during the automatic check,
the tester ever lights its red light or does not beep after the 4th green light, replace CRT.

After the CRT has successfully passed the automatic test, indicated by a double beep after the 4th green light, the individual switch test can be
performed. This is done by touching the border switches or outlined box(s) on the screen, representing all switch combinations, and listening for
beeps. If you hear a beep, the switch works and is being recognized. If it does not beep, the switch is not working. Be sure you are not touching 2.0
switches at once, and touching only the switch you want. Touching 2.0 switch positions at once will stop the beep. This can be useful in verifying
that you are on the right switch. When you touch the other switches around the one you initially touched and are still touching, the beep stops if
switches are working properly. If the tester beeps with every switch touched, but when the CRT is in the car a switch is not recognized, replace the
CRTC. Make sure some switches work, if all switches do not work, you should be on CHART C-3.
