1.
Disconnect negative battery cable, then drain the cooling system.
2.
Remove hoses from heater core.
3.
Remove three screws and two wing nuts, the righthand sound insulator and the courtesy lamp.
4.
Remove ten screws retaining glove box, then the programmer electrical connector.
5.
Remove one nut and programmer vacuum connector, then the three programmer retaining screws and programmer, Fig. 17.
6.
Disconnect ECM electrical connectors, ECM, then the ECM bracket.
7.
Remove the BCM electrical connectors, BCM, then the BCM bracket.
8.
Remove the two heater core cover screws, then cover the carpet to protect against spills.
9.
Remove heater core.
10.
Reverse procedure to install.
