Vehicle Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Overspeed Alarm Circuit

DESCRIPTION:

The overspeed alarm is an operator-setable vehicle speed warning designed to alert the driver that vehicle speed has exceeded the set point. The
"OVERSPEED ALARM" message will appear when vehicle speed exceeds the set point and disappear if the overspeed alarm is reset or vehicle speed
drops below the set point. 

TEST CONDITIONS:

NONE.

FAILURE CONDITIONS:

1.

Code B124 not set current.

2.

Overspeed set point not 0 mph.

3.

Vehicle speed greater than overspeed set point.

ACTION TAKEN:

Display "OVERSPEED ALARM" message on CRT.
