Refrigerant Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation
A/C High Side Temperature Sensor
The high-side temperature sensor measures R-12 temperature on the high side of the refrigeration system. If the temperature goes above 93°C (199°F),
the BCM will request the PCM turn off the compressor. Once the temperature drops below 86°C (187°F), the BCM will request the PCM to enable the
compressor. If the temperature goes above 50°C (122°F), the two-speed puller fan is enabled to low and disabled once the temperature increases above
65°C (149°F), the puller fan goes to high speed and the one-speed pusher fan is enabled. The pusher fan is disabled once the temperature drops below46°
C (115°F) and the puller fan will return to low speed.
