Turn Signal Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Tilt column to the "CENTER" position.
3. Remove three upper steering column cover attaching screws, then the upper cover.
4. Remove two wire straps from steering column wire harness.
5. Disconnect steering column bulkhead connector from vehicle wiring harness.
6. Disconnect turn signal and multi-function switch wiring harness from wiring harness strap.
7. Disconnect pivot and pulse switch assembly connector from multi-function switch wire harness connector.
8. Disconnect gray and black multi-function switch connectors from column bulkhead connector.
9. Remove 17-way secondary lock from turn signal switch connector.
10. Disconnect two "Pass Key" terminals from cavities 16 and 17 of the gray turn signal switch connector.
11. Remove two multi-function switch attaching screws, then the multi-function switch from the column, Fig. 9.
12. Reverse procedure to install.
