REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Steering column opening filler (30).

Remove two screws (31) in the lower edge of the filler (30).

Pull down on the steering column opening filler (30) to snap four filler integral clips out of the instrument panel carrier (25) and remove the
filler (30).
2. Vacuum hose.

Disconnect the vacuum hose connector at the defroster valve actuator (11) by sliding the tab of the connector retainer past the L-shaped bend
in the vacuum tube. Then slide the connector off the tube while continuing to hold the tab back against the body of the connector.
3. Defroster valve actuator (11).

With a thin-blade screwdriver, disengage the catch locking the defroster valve actuator (11) to the air conditioning module (1) and slide the
