Roadmaster V8-305 5.0L (1992)
Fabricate from aluminum stock 1.5 mm thick a reinforcement plate as illustrated on the attached templet.
Remove all sharp edges and burrs from finished plate. Paint fabricated plate to match interior of deck lid.
Remove striker and install plate on striker bolts and striker over plate. Torque nuts to 10 N-m (89 lb.in.).
NOTE:
Owners should be instructed that it is not necessary to slam deck lid down when closing. Simply bring lid down to make contact with actuator and lid
will close.
