Cable To Throttle Body

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the accelerator cable (4) from the accelerator pedal lever (3).
2. Disconnect the accelerator cable retainer (2).
3. Squeeze the accelerator cable cover tangs (1) and push the cable through the dash panel (bulkhead).
4. Disconnect the accelerator cable (4) from the retaining clip on the resonator bracket (3).
5. Remove the accelerator cable (4) from the accelerator cable bracket (2) and the throttle body (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Notice: In order to prevent possible interference and damage, flexible components (hoses, wires, conduits, etc.) must not be routed within 50 mm (2) of
moving parts, unless the routing is positively controlled.

1. Install the accelerator cable (4) through the dash panel (bulkhead).
2. Install the accelerator cable retainer (2).
3. Install the accelerator cable (4) on the accelerator pedal lever (3).
4. Install the accelerator cable (4) to the accelerator cable bracket (2) and the throttle body (1).
5. Install the accelerator cable (4) into the retaining clip on the resonator bracket (3).
6. Inspect for complete throttle opening and closing positions by operating the accelerator pedal. The throttle should operate freely without bind

between full closed throttle and wide open throttle.

7. Check for poor carpet fit under the accelerator pedal.
