Rocker Arm & Hydraulic Valve Lash Compensators Replace

Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove camshaft carrier cover.
3.
Using tool No. J-33302 or equivalent, Fig. 8, compress valve springs and remove rocker arms. Place rocker arms in a suitable rack so they can be
installed in the same location.
4.
Remove hydraulic lash compensators and place them in a rack so they can be installed in the same location.
5.
Reverse procedure to install. The preload of the hydraulic valve lash compensator is automatic and servicing of the compensator requires
only care and cleanliness be exercised in the handling of these components.
