Technical Procedure

PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY

(Refer to Illustration)
1.

Block wheels to prevent car from rolling.

2.

Place gear selector in neutral.

3.

Loosen parking brake cable at adjuster nut to allow cable to be disconnected from lever assembly.

4.

Remove front ashtray and two (2) screws located below ashtray.

5.

Remove snap ring retaining shift knob and remove shift knob.

6.

Remove trim plate by pulling front end up first.

7.

Remove three (3) screws under trim plate.

8.

Remove rear ashtray and screws under ashtray, and lift off console.

9.

Remove parking brake switch.
