Remove parking brake cable from lever assembly.
11.
Remove three (3) bolts securing lever to floor pan and remove lever.
12.
Install new parking brake lever assembly and tighten attaching bolts to 25 N-m (18 ft.lbs.).
13.
Reverse steps 1 through 10.
14.
Apply parking brake lever exactly 5 ratchet clicks.
15.
Raise car on hoist.
16.
Check to make sure equalizer adjuster nut groove is liberally lubricated with grease.
17.
Tighten adjusting nut until right rear wheel can be turned rearward, using two hands but is locked when forward rotation is attempted.
18.
With parking brake lever mechanism totally disengaged, rear wheels must turn freely in either direction with no brake drag.
19.
Lower car.

Install a Campaign Identification Label. Each vehicle modified in accordance with the instructions outlined in this procedure will require a
Campaign Identification Label. Each label provides a space to include the campaign number, the five (5) digit dealer code of the dealer performing
the campaign service, and the date vehicle was campaigned. This information may be inserted with a typewriter or ballpoint pen. When installing
label, clean and dry the surface of the radiator upper mounting support and apply the campaign label where it is readily visible.
DISPOSITION OF REPLACED PARTS
Replaced parts must be held for disposition by Buick contact personnel. Parts must have a claim tag attached showing the repair order and the VIN of the
vehicle from which they were removed.
