ENGINE SEALING MATERIALS

MODELS AFFECTED: 1987 SKYHAWKS WITH THE LL8 2.0L OHV L-4 ENGINE (VIN CODE 1)
Some reports have been received indicating that rocker cover, cam cover, and front timing cover leakage repairs are being made with RTV. RTV should
not be used on these applications.

These sealing interfaces have been designed only for the specified gaskets as follows:

Rocker Cover Gasket

Part Number 14090066

Cam Cover Gasket

Part Number 14090974

Front Timing Cover Gasket

Part Number 14090026

Use of any other material will not meet the intended sealing life.
