SUBJECT:
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM LEAKS AT PRESSURE SWITCH
MODELS AFFECTED: 1987 SKYHAWKS WITH AIR CONDITIONING AND LL8 ENGINE (VIN CODE 1)
If the air conditioning system looses its freon, it may be caused by the "O" ring seal at the pressure switch. This switch is located in the compressor and
condenser hose and pipe assembly on the LL8 engine.
Prior to charging the system to perform a leak test on a discharged system, replace the switch "O" ring with one that is slightly larger, Part No. 3093509.
This "O" ring should be used whenever the switch requires service.
