Piston Ring: Description and Operation

    Cast-aluminum pistons are used together with light-weight piston pins to provide optimum durability with minimum mass. The piston rings are
designed for function including friction, oil consumption and durability.  The rings offer excellent sealing, blow-by and oil consumption characteristics
as well as low engine friction due to the low tension values.
