Backing Plate: Service and Repair
Removal

Brake Components

-

Raise car and suitably support.

-

Remove brake components.See: Brake Drum See: Brake Shoe

Remove brake pipe from wheel cylinder. See: Wheel Cylinder

Remove parking brake cable from backing plate.

-

Remove hub and bearing assembly bolts then hub and bearing assembly from axle. See: Hub and Bearing Assembly

Remove backing plate.
