1.
Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain crankcase.
2.
Remove flywheel housing inspection cover, then remove splash shield to suspension support bolt.
3.
On models with manual transaxle, remove exhaust manifold brace.
4.
On all models, remove radiator outlet pipe to oil pan bolt.
5.
Remove transaxle to oil pan nut, then remove stud using a 7 mm socket.
6.
Carefully pry out spacer located between oil pan and transaxle.
7.
Remove oil pan to transaxle stud, then remove oil pan to engine attaching bolts.
8.
Remove oil pan and gasket. It may be necessary to rotate crankshaft to provide clearance for oil pan removal.
9.
Reverse procedure to install. Install and torque oil pan attaching bolts as shown in Fig. 25.
