Fuel Pressure Test Port: Service and Repair
Fuel Pressure Connection
NOTE: Clean the area around the fuel pressure connection with GM X-30A or equivalent.
REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2.
Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel System Pressure Relief.
3.
Remove the fuel pressure connection and seal, discard seal.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install a new seal on the fuel pressure connection.
2.
Screw the fuel pressure connection assembly into the fuel rail.
3.
Tighten the fuel pressure connection to 10 Nm (88 lb.in).
4.
Connect the negative battery terminal.
5.
With engine "OFF" and the ignition switch "ON" check for fuel leaks before starting the engine.
