New smooth surface fiber plates for the Lo-Reverse clutch went into production May 5, 1989, (Julian Date 125), for Willow Run built HYDRA-MATIC
3T40 transaxles and May 15, 1989, (Julian Date 135) for Windsor built HYDRA-MATIC 3T40 transaxles.
SERVICE ACTION
If a customer comments about a rattle and/or clicking noise condition in any THM 125C/HYDRA-MATIC 3T40 transaxle, the Lo-Reverse fiber plates
should be replaced with new smooth surface fiber plates.
