Removing Boot

Using a screwdriver, remove dust boot from caliper bore.

Using a small piece of wood or plastic, remove piston seal from bore.
Caliper Assembly

Remove bleeder valve.
INSPECTION

Inspect piston for corrosion, scoring, nicks, wear and damage to chrome plating. If any of the above defects are found, replace piston.

Inspect caliper bore for corrosion, scoring, nicks, and wear. Light corrosion can be polished out using crocus cloth. If crocus cloth fails to remove
corrosion, the caliper housing must be replaced.

Clean all parts with denatured alcohol. Dry with unlubricated compressed air. Blow out all passages in housing and bleeder valve.
