EGR Valve: Service and Repair
EGR Valve
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
NOTE: Numbers in text correspond to numbered components in image.
1. Remove the Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector to the EGR valve.
3. Remove the EGR valve bolts (1).
4. Remove the EGR valve (2).
INSTALL OR CONNECT
NOTE: Be sure all gasket material is removed from the EGR mounting surface. Even a small amount of material may cause a DTC P0401 to set.
1. Install the EGR valve (2) with the gasket (3).
2. Install the EGR valve bolts (1) and tighten to 22-30 Nm (16-22 lb. ft.).
3. Connect the EGR valve electrical connector.
4. Install the Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator.
