Fluid Pump: Service and Repair
Scavenger Oil Scoop
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise vehicle and suitably support.
2. Drain oil.
3. Oil pan attaching bolts, oil pan and gasket.
4. Oil scoop retaining bolt and oil scoop.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Oil scoop and retaining bolt.
Tighten
^
Retaining bolt to 5 to 11 Nm (44 to 97 inch lbs.).
2. Oil pan gasket. Gasket may be reused, unless sealing ribs are damaged. If damaged, use new gasket.
3. Oil pan and attaching bolts.
Tighten
^
Pan bolts to 16 to 17 Nm (12 to 13 ft. lbs.).
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Fill transaxle to proper level with DEXRON(R) III oil.
Inspect
^
Oil pan gasket for leaks.
