Power Window Motor: Service and Repair
2 Door
2 and 4 door have an automatic safety belt system. The following procedures will cover the trim panels for this system.
Remove or Disconnect
1. Inner belt sealing strip.
2. Escutcheon (4).
3. Screws (6).
4. Screws (7).
5. Screws (9) under pull handle.
6. Screw (11).
7. Electrical connections to escutcheon (3) and/or locking knob, if equipped.
8. Escutcheon (3).
9. Screws (8).
10. Retractor cover (10).
11. Window regulator handle, (12) if equipped.
12. Trim panel (13) by disengaging fasteners (2) on trim panel from holes in door inner panel using tool J 24595-C or equivalent.

Grasp trim panel and lift up and outboard to disengage retainers at top of trim panel from door inner panel.

Disconnect connections to switches attached to trim panel.
Install or Connect
1. Trim panel (13) by connecting all electrical connections to switches on trim panel.

Align fasteners at top of trim panel and engage fasteners over edge of door inner panel.

Align fasteners (2) to holes in door inner panel and push outboard until fasteners are engaged in holes.
2. Retractor cover (10).
3. Screws (8).
4. Any electrical connections to escutcheon (3) and/or locking knob, if equipped.
5. Escutcheon (3).
