Headlamp Switch: Service and Repair
1982 SKYLARK
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove headlamp switch knob by depressing retaining clip behind knob and pulling knob from shaft.
3.
Remove escutcheon from switch and shaft.
4.
Remove the knobs from the following: windshield wiper switch, rear window defogger switch and radio.
5.
Remove radio retaining nuts.
6.
Remove three screws from bottom of instrument panel trim plate.
7.
Place transmission shift lever in ``Low,'' then remove instrument panel trim plate.
8.
Remove headlamp switch retaining screws and pull switch from panel. The switch plugs directly into a terminal plug in the switch mounting
cavity.
9.
Reverse procedure to install.
