Skylark V6-191 3.1L VIN M SFI (1994)
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Recover refrigerant.
2. Negative battery cable.
3. Raise vehicle.
4. Front exhaust shield.
5. Cradle cross brace. (Remove three of the bolts and swing aside.)
6. Lines from evaporator, discarding 0-rings.
7. Lower vehicle.
8. Right side under dash insulator panel.
9. Electrical junction box at heater core cover.
10. Left side insulator panel.
11. Steering column filler.
12. Partially remove shift console, if equipped, to gain access to floor duct and heater core cover. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /
Trim/Console/Service and Repair
13. Floor duct.
14. Heater core cover.
15. Heater core shroud and straps.
CAUTION: The heater core will be suspended by the heater core pipes at this point. Do not apply any downward pressure on the core, otherwise
damage may occur to the heater core pipes.
16. Evaporator assembly.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Evaporator assembly.
2. Heater core shroud and straps.
3. Heater core cover.
4. Floor duct.
5. Steering column filler.
6. Left side insulation panel.
7. Electrical junction box to heater core cover.
8. Right side insulation panel.
9. Console. See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair
10. Raise vehicle.
11. Evaporator lines.
12. Cross brace.
13. Heat shield.
14. Lower vehicle.
15. Evacuate and recharge A/C system.
