CONDITION: (Figure 1 and 2)
Some owners may experience an automatic transaxle fluid leak between the structural side cover pan and transaxle case.
CAUSE: (Figure 3)
A casting change was implemented to transaxle case i.d. 723 which reduced the thickness of a section of case wall affecting the side cover gasket's
sealing ability when used with a structural cover pan.
CORRECTION:
Replace the original case side cover gasket with a new replacement service gasket. The replacement gasket listed below should only be used on 1993-94
4T60-E transaxles that contain a structural side cover pan, case i.d. 723 and an external side pan leak.
