Brake Master Cylinder: Service and Repair
Master Cylinder Installation

Removing/Installing Master Cylinder Assembly

Install master cylinder and attaching nuts and torque to 30 - 45 Nm (22 - 30 ft. lb.).

Install pushrod to brake pedal (manual master cylinder).
Failure Warning Switch

Install electrical connector at warning switch.

Install hydraulic lines and tube nuts and torque to 14 - 20 Nm (120-180 in. lb.).

Fill master cylinder to proper level with clean brake fluid. Proper level is between min. and max. indicator levels in opening on top reservoir.

Recheck fluid level.
