5. Notice:
Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the pinion housing-to-differential mounting bolts (1).
Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
6. Lubricate the sealing surfaces of the drive pinion oil seal (1) with synthetic gear oil GM P/N United States 12378514 Canada P/N 88901045 or
equivalent.
7. Install the torque tube assembly. Refer to Torque Tube Assembly Replacement.
8. Fill the differential with synthetic gear oil. Refer to Lubricant Change.
