Figure 2 - Brake Booster Bleeder Screw

BLEEDER SCREW BANJO FITTING FOR NON-TRACTION CONTROL VEHICLES (THIS APPLIES TO 1987, 1988, AND 1989 VEHICLES
ONLY)

Remove the bleeder screw banjo fitting when installing the service hydraulic unit assembly on 1987, 1988, and 1989 vehicles by performing the
following steps. Refer to Figure 2.
a.

Remove black rubber cap (1).

b.

Unscrew bleeder screw (2).

c.

Unscrew banjo bolt (3) and remove it together with high pressure fitting (4) and 0-ring.

d.

Hand tighten bleeder screw into the port where discarded banjo fitting was. Tighten after bleeding operation. (Tightening torque is 8 to 12 N-m, 6
to 9 lbs. ft.)
