Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

J 6627-A Tie Rod/Wheel Stud Puller 

-

J 42089 Linkage Installer

-

Or Equivalents

1. Raise and support the vehicle. 
2. Remove the front wheel assembly. 
3. Remove the wheel hub. 

4. Remove the brake disc rotor splash shield bolts.
5. Remove the brake disc rotor splash shield.

6. Remove the ball stud nut from the outer tie rod.
7. Use the J 6627-A to remove the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle.
