CTS-V V8-6.0L VIN U (2006)
brake hose must be routed away from the left rear strut. Failure to route the hose correctly may cause the hose to rub on the strut, which may damage
the hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak.
1. Remove the rubber plug from the brake hose to caliper bolt hole of the brake caliper.
2. Assemble the brake hose, the NEW copper brake hose gaskets (3) and the brake hose bolt (4) to the brake hose (2).Ensure that the brake hose is
installed with the body of hose positioned down.
Important: Install NEW copper brake hose gaskets.
3. Install the brake hose to caliper bolt (4) to the brake caliper (1).
Tighten the brake hose to caliper bolt to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the brake hose (1) to the frame assembly (2).Ensure that the brake hose is routed away from the strut assembly.
Notice: Make sure the brake hose is not twisted or kinked after installation. Damage to the hose could result.
5. Install the brake hose retainer (1) to the brake hose (3).
6. Remove the rubber cap or plug from the crossover pipe fitting end.
7. Install the brake pipe fitting (1) to the brake hose (3).
