Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Vehicle Speed Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1.

Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

2.

Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor electrical connector.

3.

Remove the attaching bolt and the vehicle speed sensor.

4.

Remove the vehicle speed sensor (1).

Installation Procedure

1.

Install the vehicle speed sensor (1).

Notice

Refer to Fastener Notice

2.

Install the vehicle speed sensor bolt.

Tighten the vehicle speed sensor bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3.

Connect the vehicle speed sensor electrical connector.

4.

Lower the vehicle.
