Sunroof Sunshade Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Cycle the sunroof window to the vent position in order to ease in the removal of the forward adjusting screws (2).
2. Slide the sunshade rearward.
3. Disconnect the sunroof panel side opening closeout covers (5) from the retention clips (1,3,4) in order to access the sunroof window screws (2,6).
4. Remove the sunroof window screws from both sides.
5. Carefully lift the sunroof window from the sunroof opening.

6. Remove the screws (2) from each end of the drain channel (3).
7. Move one edge of the drain channel forward.
8. Remove the drain channel from the sunroof module opening.

9. There are 2 spring loaded retention clips (3) located on each side of the sunshade panel.

10. The clips are spring loaded into the track assembly (1).
11. In order to remove the sunshade panel, depress the panel to one side of the track assembly.
12. Release the front retention clip (3) with a flat-bladed tool.
13. Carefully arch the sunshade upward at the forward center edge.
14. Carefully lift the front edge of the sunshade (4) upward out of the opening.
15. With the sunshade panel depressed to one side of the track, release the rear retention clip.
16. Slightly rotate the sunshade panel in order to remove the panel from the track assembly.
17. Carefully remove the sunshade panel upward from the sunroof module.

Installation Procedure

1. Position rear edge of the sunshade panel to the track assembly.
2. Ensure the retention clip at the rear is positioned into the track assembly.
3. Depress the rear retention clip on the opposite side of the sunshade panel and locate the clip into the track assembly.
4. Release the retention clip.
