1. Install the oil filter cartridge housing drain plug.
Tighten the oil filter cartridge housing drain plug to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
Important: Ensure the tabs on the oil filter cartridge (1) lock firmly into the plastic cap.
An audible snap will be heard when the oil filter cartridge is completely seated.
2. Install the NEW oil filter cartridge into the plastic cap.
3. Lightly coat the O-ring seal (2) around the plastic cap with clean engine oil.
4. Install the plastic cap to the oil filter cartridge housing.
Tighten the oil filter cartridge plastic cap to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the oil pan drain plug.
Tighten the oil pan drain plug to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
