6. Wipe the oil pan drain plug and surrounding area with a clean, dry cloth.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Fill the engine with the proper type and amount of engine oil.
9. Start the engine and inspect the oil pressure gage for appropriate pressure build up.
10. Inspect the oil filter cartridge housing and the oil pan drain plug areas for leaks.
11. Shut the engine off.
12. Check the engine oil level and adjust if necessary.
